His areas of expertise are Iron Age archaeology, Colonial archaeology, Industrial archaeology, Grave relocations, and human skeletal remains analysis. He has worked for the Department of National Museums and Monuments of Botswana and a number of CRM companies in South Africa. He is able to propose, implement and monitor measures necessary to comply with national, heritage, environmental and social legislation.
Roy holds an MA CDS with specialisation in Archaeology (Wits University), BA Honours degree in Archaeology Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies (Midlands State University), and Training programme Applied Anatomy and Biological Anthropology (University of Cape Town).” sc_img=”777″][history_about_us plan_feature=”%5B%7B%7D%5D” sc_title=”Paleontologist” sc_subtitle=”Dr. Fourie Heidi” sc_desc=”Dr. Fourie works closely with Tsimba as an associate on a project to project basis. She is actively doing research on the skeletal morphology of the Therocephalia (mammal-like reptile) of the Karoo. She is a member of Palaeontological Society of South Africa, and International Congress of Vertebrate Morphologists. She holds a Ph.D in Palaeontology and a B.Sc in Geology and Zoology.
Dr. Fourie has knowledge on fossil preparation, collection management, occupational, health and safety, curation principles and archival practises. She worked in the field of palaeontology since 1994 and has been involved in Palaeontological Impact Assessments since 2012. Amongst others, Dr. Fourie has done field studies for the Dorper Wind Energy Project, Greenside Colliery, Ngululu Opencast mine, Lesotho Border Road and Benicon Park Phase 1 Palaeontological Impact Assessments. Assessments done on projects in Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, Free State, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga Provinces.” sc_img=”670″][history_about_us plan_feature=”%5B%7B%7D%5D” sc_title=”Adminstrator” sc_subtitle=”Ms. Kgothatso Molutsi” sc_desc=”At Tsimba, Kgothatso works as part of a Heritage and Archaeological consultancy team by providing clerical and administrative work which includes bookkeeping, communications, scheduling, data entry, secretarial services and much more.
Kgothatso is a highly motivated and confident young professional with exceptional multi-tasking capabilities coupled with her busy cell centre environment background. She is hardworking with excellent punctuality records and an individual who can work equally well or as part of a team. Kgothatso is able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, she embodies the characteristics of loyalty and responsibility, and would be an asset to any organization.” sc_img=”753″][history_about_us plan_feature=”%5B%7B%7D%5D” sc_title=”Marketing Officer” sc_subtitle=”Ms. Shirley Tshimange” sc_desc=”Shirley is currently completing a BA General Degree Majoring in Marketing and International Relations (University of the Witwatersrand). She is a marketing individual with a strong eye for detail and innovative ways to accomplish tasks. Shirley is building her expertise and gaining experience in the Marketing field by working with upcoming and newly established organizations and creatives.
